- By the end of grade 10, read and comprehend literary nonfiction at the high end of the grades 9-10 text complexity band independently and proficiently.

- Students will be working on SAT prep work which is a required test for all juniors madated by the state.
-Evaluate a speaker's point of view, reasoning, and use of evidence and rhetoric, assessing the stance, premises, links among ideas, word choice, points of emphasis, and tone used.
-Use precise language and domain-specific vocabulary to manage the complexity of the topic.
